Doubling Instruments

Earlier, we discussed how the violin section can be divided so that a melody is played in two different octaves at the same time, giving more strength to the sound. We can also have the violins play a melody with other instruments as well. Woodwinds and brass benefit greatly by having their melody doubled by the violins.
