Notation

Violin parts are always written in the Treble clef.

Range

While we can say with certainty what the lowest note of the violin is, there is no exact top note. Unlike a guitar, the violins (and all the other stringed instruments in the string section) do not have frets. This makes it hard to determine the exact top note. C7 (three octaves above Middle C) would be a safe cut off point, although violins can certainly play up to the E7 just above that, if necessary:
