Since we have kept the string section busy providing both the bottom and top end of the vamp, the light woodwinds provide the most logical choice for introducing the theme:

As the piece progresses, we build the sound by having the violins and brass play melody and counter melody:

Notice that, when the violins take over the melody in bar 13, they can no longer play their old part of chug-chug-chug chords like a rhythm section:

This now becomes the responsibility of the trombones who play the chords, and the trumpets and French horns who play counter lines that maintain the rhythmic momentum:

Note that in bar 16, the French horns play a chromatic line, harmonized in 3rds:

This effect always provides an unusual and memorable sound.
