Adjusting the Feel (cont.)

This adjustment to the left hand was very simple to make. Let's compare the left hand of both piano arrangements. Look at just the first two bars of each example:

Both pieces start with the same bass note. But in the new arrangement, that note is only an eighth note.

The notes following that bass note provide the harmony. That harmony is established by simply playing the bottom two notes of the chords from our first arrangement. Let's compare both arrangements again:

Notice that in our first arrangement, the bottom two notes of the harmony are A and C. In our second arrangement, those two harmony notes following the bass note are also A and C.
