Tweaking the Melody

Rhythmically, we now have an interesting pattern. But those repeated notes have a clunky, mechanical feel to them. Let's listen to it again:

Let's see if we can make the melody a little more elegant. It would help if we didn't have two 16th notes in a row playing the same note. Remember, we are in the key of C Major, so any notes from the C Major scale will work. We could modify the melody to sound like is:

The melody now has a nice flow, and the 16th note pattern adds a level of sophistication to the original melody. We can now modify the remainder of the composition to include this new 16th note pattern. Let's hear what that sounds like:
