When we return to our theme for the last time, at bar 28, the violins join in on the French horn theme and the flute and piccolo no longer play the fast runs. To sustain the excitement, we look to the brass instruments. The trombones play syncopated chords starting in bar 28:

Again, this provides forward momentum. In bars 30 through 33, the French horns play fast staccato attacks:

In bars 29 through 34, the trumpets double the melody and also add harmony notes:

The trumpets finally contribute their own set of short staccato attacks in bar 35. This is joined by the French horns, which help bring great urgency to this bar:

It should be noted that when the French Horns start their staccato attacks in bar 30, they free up trombones 1 and 2  from playing their constant off-the-beat pattern.
