On top of all this movement, we add a second counter
line, creating a short variation of the theme we introduced in bar 4.
We will play this variation over each of the major 7th chord changes.
In bars 20 and 21, the piccolo
and glockenspiel play this line:
In bars 22 and 23, was pass on the variation to the 1st
and 2nd trombones:
In bars 24 and 25, the piccolo
and glockenspiel once again play
the melody, with the addition of the trumpet:
