To mirror the character of an interrogation, we have the violins and harp sparring with a melody line played by the sequencer. Within these six bars, they seem to be tossing short musical phrases back and forth to each other:

The French horns and a suspended cymbal's crescendo bring this to an abrupt end beginning in bar 6. While the violins, harp and sequencer make use of the notes C and Db for their melody, the French horns use them for their harmony. The minor second interval created between these two notes, gives the French horn chord its dissonant sound.
