Pulse (cont.)

Although we've created a pulse, we still need more rhythmic energy. Since we're already using a triplet rhythm on beat 4 of every bar, let's add a triplet pattern over all of our notes:

Here, the violas play all the notes of our established pulse in triplet rhythm. On top of that, the snare drum reinforces this rhythmic pattern.

Now let's hear how our pulse sounds with the addition of this new triplet pattern:

As you can hear, we now have an exciting and energetic pattern to which we can add even more color.
