Pentatonic Scale - Rock and Pop

While the pentatonic scale is often used in world music, it appears just as frequently in rock and pop music. Listen to how we can use the pentatonic scale to create a pop sound:

You've no doubt heard this sound in many pop songs. Two of the most famous songs to make great use of the pentatonic scale are "Don't Let Me Down" by the Beatles, and "Everyday People" by Sly and the Family Stone.
