About Our Suggested Ranges
|
General InformationTo some degree, the harp could be considered an orchestral string instrument. But the harp doesn’t actually belong to any precise section of the orchestra. While the harp plays a supporting role within the orchestra, its sonic contributions are indispensable. The harp, when used correctly, can transform a mundane passage of music into a memorable one. RangeThe harp has almost as wide a range as the piano. Its lowest note is Cb0 (three octaves plus one half-step below Middle C). Its highest note is Gb7 (three octaves plus a tritone above Middle C). |
